The Tigers men have demonstrated that they know how to handle the pressure of the big games!

taj - i think you're presuming too much here - remember that playing on the world cup stage is significantly different than playing at club level, however well they've done last season.

Well done the lads, plus I hope that Dan Ward-Smith gets his chance to pull on the number 8 shirt next week with super sub lol coming onto shore up the lads nearer the end. Of course Dan can transfer club form to the international stage. He will face the same pressure that every new cap has to face, and I am sure he will cope admirably. He has been guided by Dawsy at Plymouth and Hillsy at Bristol, so won't be a problem. And let's not forget he has a great rugby brain and great pace. He will expolit so many holes, make great breaks and is pacey enough to finish, rather than just start a move. Like an extra back.

Billster I would love to see Dan Ward-Smith playing in next weeks game, he has huge potentional, lets just hope he gets the chance and pulls it off. Although Lawrence should be past his due by date, he is still going strong for Wasps and its has been said to be fitter than ever, do you think he could play at his standard for a whole 80 minutes in an international match?

Not sure if lol has enough fuel in the tank these days but I would not be surprised after all stamina comes with age. He is certainly someone who can be relied upon, and will give it his all, he is a natural leader and totally passionate. Even if he runs out of steam he is worth keeping on the field purely for his motivational effect. We used to have so many lieutenants on the pitch before keeping everyone disciplined - Hill, Backy, Wilko, Robinson, Lol, Johnson, Vickery, Tindall, Cohen, Catt etc Some are back but only a few.

What we all need to remember is that we can't run before we can walk, and it's nice to hear the Taffs and the Boks telling us how boring we were!! I like the sound of that, it's cos they are afraid we might find the recipe for success again, a win is win.

Not forgetting Catt who has been let out the bag again, excellent I say. He has so much vision, a natural talent, age does not diminish a superb talent like Mike Catt. He might slow down a bit over the hard yards but he does not need that with his reading of the game and great positional kicking. He can make and exploit a gap before anyone knows it is there. Also can't wait for Tait and Strettle to get more ball, it will come. Brian Ashton has always been the man for the job.

We also need someone to pick up where Backy left off, for someone that Rowell reckoned was too small he did the job no one else could. At break downs who got the ball? Without another Backy we will always struggle against a good team that is hard to break down.
